A little past Devil's elbow, on your left, going
down the river, you will find "Sliding Alligator", a rock formation extending
out onto the lake. Around the other side are Indian Hieroglyphics (ancient Indian writings
on the face of the rock formation.)
The 16 mile canoe trip through Topock Gorge can easily be made in one day, if
the trip is planned in advance.
Park Moabi camp ground is an excellent location to camp overnight prior to
canoeing Topock Gorge. A camp store and clean rest room facilities are provided for the
visitors.
Castle Rock is an ideal location to take out if the canoeist wants to avoid
Lake Havasu. There is a good road within 100 yards of the shoreline.
