& Bait. Providing everything for fishing Lake Mohave. Lake Mohave is located on the Colorado River formed by Davis Dam in the 1950's. Lake Mohave provides an abundant fishery for Large Mouth Bass, Stripped Bass, Rainbow Trout, Channel Cats and Bluegill. Stripped Bass were introduced into the lake in the early 80's as a result of flooding on the Colorado. Hoover Dam at the head of Lake Mohave was forced to open their spillways to release excess runoff during the unusually wet seasons and stripper were able to establish themselves in the lake. Lake Mohave's trout and large mouth bass have not suffered drastically as a result of the stripper introduction and many fine limits are caught from this 67 mile long impoundment. Cottonwood Cove and Willow Beach areas are particularly good for Striper Fishing nearly year round. Alan Cole recently landed this beautiful Stripped Bass from Cottonwood Cove.
